Message generation in 94, and only 3k Z's were sold in 95. The supra is high priced because it is RARE, everything else is icing, but it is truly little more than supply vs demand. There is a demand for 90's era japanese sportscars, there are more Z32s than supras, RX7s, and 3000GT turbos, put together. Hence Z's sell for far less due to their supply.

IIRC, in 1990 alone, Nissan sold more Z32s than all final generation Supra model years.

Supply v demand, don't believe the rest of the hype, a car, in general, doesnt sell by potential, especially when the vast majority never use a fraction of it. It may happen in instances, but these cars sell high based on their very limited availability, and hold value because they are excellently built cars with the aforementioned rarity.
